Conventional European calibration lines rely on storing walnuts in metal silos following the drying process. As many calibration and packaging lines are not built with synchronised capacities with the dry walnut-discharge speeds, usually multiple silos are used before and after calibration. A massive silo of 80 cubic meters (about 3m x 4m x 7.5m height) will hold no more than 25 tons of in-shell walnut, forcing the grower to begin with bagging operation prematurely. A pallet of 1.20 x 1.0 m will hold no more that 14 25 kg bag In order to prevent shell breaking, pallets cannot be stacked (put on top of each other), causing a serious shortage in storage space.

NutVision calibration and storage systems are based on using stackable (8 levels) HDPP - High Density Polypropylene - boxes that holds about 210 kg of in-shell walnuts depending on caliber. Thanks to our super fast in-line calibrators that comes with integrated weighing stations that weighs and labels the boxes as they are filled, calibration, labelling, record keeping and storage can be done by one operator without the need of stopping your process.
